Module Two: Preaching Christ’s Passion—October 5-23, 2020 CANCELED
This module will reflect on practical and pastoral issues of preaching the passion. Fr. Raniero Cantalamessa, OFM CAP, will offer lectures on his experience as Preacher to the Papal Household since 1980. Ms. Fleming Rutledge, an Episcopalian Priest, theologian will present material from her acclaimed book entitled, The Crucifixion: Understanding the Death of Jesus Christ and facilitate conversations about its relevance for preaching. Fr. Craig Morrison, O.Carm, a professor at the Pontifical Biblical Institute will make presentations on how to understand the scriptures for preaching through the practice of Lectio Divina.
